About Tony

Hi, Everyone and welcome to my site!

Living and writing in Indianapolis? Looking for a workshop?

I’ll be teaching a workshop in Mystery Writing Basics at the Indiana Writers Center for four consecutive Tuesdays starting April 15, 2014. Sign up now! We’ll be learning and writing at the same time. Details can be found in the classes section of the IWC website. Or just click here to be taken to that page.

Here are some old posts:

NEW COVER!

Our publisher decided the cover needed more color, so here’s the cover as of August 1. I like the decision to add the orange. Also, I updated the Appearances page. More appearances coming, too!

NEW BOOK COMING IN OCTOBER!

It was fun and a privilege to serve as co-editor for HOOSIER HOOPS & HIJINKS,  an anthology of short mystery stories that involve basketball in our great Hoosier state of Indiana. My co-editor Brenda Stewart and I are putting the final touches on it, and it will be out in October, 2013. Our publisher is Blue River Press, the same people who did our earlier anthology RACING CAN BE MURDER, which went on to be a finalist for Best Book of Indiana. For those of you who remember Charlotte & Francine, my amateur sleuths from “The Land Grab” in RACING, they are back for more antics in this one.

Other stuff: Yes, I know December 21 came and went and the world didn’t end, so you might think the thriller I co-wrote with Paul Skorich, THE FINAL MAYAN PROPHECY, might be a dead issue. But you know what? The world didn’t end in our book, either. Read it and find out why! The ebook is only 99 cents everywhere. And if you prefer a paperback copy, you can get that at amazon.com for only $9.99.

A Little About Me:

My name is Tony Perona, and I’ve been a writer for as long as I can remember, but I first became a mystery author in December, 2002, when Five Star published my novel Second Advent, the first in the Nick Bertetto mystery series. You can learn about the series and more by clicking on the Novels & Books button.

Anyway, please look around the site, and if you want to contact me, please leave a comment.
